Wildcraft Espresso Bar is an espresso cafe whose chalkboard menu is highlighted by a local Petaluma dairy's sheep's milk. Drinks come in two sizes - small-ish and smaller. They're tasty - our sheep's milk latte had a pleasantly mild tang that was completely new to me. Seating, both inside and out, is minimal, so plan accordingly.
The mocha, hand-stirred to perfection, was enjoyable and pleasantly devoid of the syrupy-sweetness of your standard Starbuck's.
These things don't come cheap. A $3.25 americano was the smallest I've seen at about five ounces. With the $1 upcharge for sheep's milk, our 12-oz latte and mocha combo came out to $15 with tax/tip.
San Francisco is blessed with dozens of interesting coffee cafés, and Wildcraft Espresso Bar brings its own twist into the local scene.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Monica J.Foster City, CA282505260Nov 6, 2016
Really friendly baristas but the almond milk latte is nothing special. Slightly bitter...had to add sugar and it still tasted eh. Prolly won't be back as there are so many great coffee spots in the Mission that do almond milk lattes right (ahem Four Barrel) but I'm guessing people come here more for the sheep's milk beverages, not the almond milk ones.
Not holding anything against you, Wildcraft, but this just isn't a good fit.
FYI I blog about coffee spots everywhere I go, especially for almond milk/non dairy milk lattes. Feel free to message me for more info.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jay M.San Francisco, CA18515923Dec 11, 2015First to Review
Ritual Coffee and Sheep's Milk? Sign me up! This is my new go-to coffee place in The 'Stro, hands down!
I am a huge fan of Ritual coffee but there isn't a place in The Castro that serves it - until now. I was excited to try Wildcraft today when I was out walking my four legged furry friend. I saw they had Sheep's Milk which I had never tried before and I am now a convert. No more soy. No more almond milk. It is all about the Sheep's Milk. I didn't have to add any sweetener to my Sheep's Milk Cappuccino because it had a very mild sweetness to it.
Each coffee drink has two shots of espresso that comes with it but I had mine with one shot so I wasn't buzzing the entire day and it was perfect.
The decor reminds me of being somewhere along the beach - very soothing. Service is great, everyone behind the counter is extremely friendly and made sure I was happy with my choice since I had never tried what I had ordered.
Looking forward to my next Cap tomorrow.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 127033443269May 9, 2016
Wildcraft was popular right when it opened up, and I think it has something to do with the fact that it offers sheep's milk... and that it snatched a prime location in the Castro District. The service and coffee here are both great. They make coffee from Ritual Roasters. My favorite is that they have a $1 cup of coffee option, which is PERFECT for me, since I like drip coffee, don't want an espresso, and can't finish a regularly sized small coffee. Great place to stop by or even hang out at the counter inside or limited patio seating outside.

If you're in the Castro and looking to pick up an espresso, latte, or cappuccino, I can't think of a better place to go (I've tried Hearth, Reveille, and Weaver's). Theresa and her team are as solid as solid gets: cheerful, genuine, and all about coffee and the familiar faces that drop by. Good people.
Note: it's more of an espresso bar; less of a sit-down cafe. Seating is currently limited to two tables (one inside, one outside) and an outside bench (outside). If that sounds like you, you can't go wrong.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jake B.San Francisco, CA5728193Mar 12, 2016
Everyone is totally right about the goat milk, and I'm not going to repeat them.
Personally, I'd come for Therasa who owns the place. She introduced herself when I was making my order, asked me a few questions in a way that felt authentic and interested, and had some great suggestions on what to order and why.
I sat down for awhile, and she dropped off an oatmeal cookie free of charge. It was a small touch, but I was feeling down and a little bit of kindness means a lot.
Honestly, felt like a part of SF that has been slowly ebbing away. Come support a great business by buying great coffee. It's a win win!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jenny Z.Brookline, MA4111Jul 15, 2016
Sheep's milk latte is decadent and lightly sweet. Too pricey to become a habit for me, so good thing I'm just visiting on vacation. Theresa and staff are very friendly which is greatly appreciated. Theresa answered my questions about sheep's milk without any air of pretension. The shop is small (a couple of seats and a standing bar inside and a couple more seats outside) but clean and inviting. They served the latte in a handmade cup on a piece of origami paper on a small wooden tray. I folded a boat out of my origami paper. Nice small break in the afternoon.

The latte with sheep's milk is nothing short of extraordinary.
In terms of dollars and calories, this is more a treat than a habit - very decadent, creamy and rich. The sheep's milk completely steals the thunder that it would be a mistake to waltz into this espresso bar and order straight espresso. My boyfriend surprised me with an iced latte and I was so completely enamored by this dessert/coffee that I went back for a hot version the very next day!
I got to see the place for myself - a beautiful, delicate storefront. There's a little table inside and a few chairs, but it's not made for lounging around. The service is really friendly, and the place is located in a great neighborhood - perfect for a grab-n-go.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
